We are living in times the like of which has never been seen. The restoration of Israel is a harbinger of the end of this epoch and that we should be watching more closely with each passing day. As Paul said,”And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.” Romans 13:11.
The purpose of these writings is to reassure everyone that God has it hand and we need not despair when we observe the world around us. This is/was all predicted in the Bible and our leaders–like them or not–were and are appointed by God. This is not and will not be political in nature; it is and will be examining events through the lens of prophecy and the Bible only.
The inspiration for this blog came from listening to several pastors, studying prophecy, the Bible, and recent world events. I realized just how close we are to the seven year tribulation. Bill Salus has several books dealing with this, in particular, Psalm 83: The Missing Prophecy Revealed, The Now Prophecies, and The Next Prophecies.
Delving into the topic, I had inspiration that the Psalm 83/Obadiah war is coming soon and that this war could possibly be the trigger for the beginning of the tribulation. This means the Rapture will happen in that immediate time period. True or not, it is still time to be sure you are in agreement with God and that begins with believing in salvation through the Blood of Jesus Christ.
Who are these nations and are they listed in Ezekiel 38/
Psalm 83 List of Nations
There is in Psalm 83 of the nations that attack Israel seeking to take the land away and destroy the nation. These nations are separate from those in Ezekiel 38/39. After attacking Israel these nations are wiped out. In Psalm 83 Israel is the fire; the nations are stubble in the field. Damascus is desolate. With the new government in the USA nations including those listed in Psalm 83 are turning away from the USA and cozy up to Iran and China. God intervenes after these nations attack although the Israeli Defense Forces will receive the credit.
Isaiah 17 is a prophecy that foretells the destruction of Damascus.
Obadiah is a one chapter book detailing more about the Psalm 83 war.
If you read Psalm 83 you will wonder who the modern nations are. FYI, Palestine was a creation of the Romans to insult the Jews. Any proper name that ends with an “el” means like or of God, e.g. Michael, Israel, etc.
- Tents of Edom. They could not exist before Israel in 1948. The word tents means refugees in the Bible. These are the Palestinians and S. Jordanians. This makes sense since Israel flees into Jordan later in the tribulation.
- Byblos. Lebanon
- Ishmaelites. Ishmael is the son of Sarah’s handmaiden and Abraham. Ishmael is the father of the Saudis.
- Moab. Lot is the father through his daughters. Their idea BTW. Palestinians and central Jordan.
- Hagarines. Hagar is an Egyptian matriarch. Other descendants are Algeria, Libya, Morocco, and Tunisia.
- Gebal. Hezbollah and N. Lebanese.
- Ammon. Palestinians and N. Jordan. Hezbollah did not exist prior to 1982.
- Amalek. Arabs of the Sinai area.
- Philistia. Hamas of the Gaza strip.
- Tyre. Syrians and N Iraq.
- Assyria. Turkey.
- Teman. Located in Edom. Jordan.
These countries completely surround Israel. Ezekiel 38 and 39 do not list these countries. The Obama administration advanced caused the world to match the prophecies by encouraging several of these countries to overthrow leaders friendly or tolerant of Israel to leaders hostile to Israel.
